Diggy Simmons called us this morning to promote the release of his debut album “Unexpected Arrival” which is in stores TODAY (3-20-12).

When COCO asked who his biggest musical influence is, Diggy surprised the Morning Show by telling them that Kanye West is the one rapper who inspires him more than anyone else:

“I’d say Kanye West has definitely been a big influence. Just the way he is creatively and how he always raises the bar. He always makes me want to go up that extra notch. And he always does it for hip hop, and that’s definitely what I look up to.”

When Foolish asked Diggy if any of his boys’ mama’s have ever tried to holler at him he laughed and said, “Nah nah nah… other mama’s have, but none of my boys’!”
